A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to invalid addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all email mailbox without difficulty if you have a website hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet really easy to use, and it will allow you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you’ll find a small-size "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will activate this option, clicking on it once more will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already got a different one with this option activated or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we offer will permit you to create a catch-all email mailbox without effort even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you’ve set up using your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
